Most green projects can be run without the use of digital tools.

It is useful to know, though, that there are tools available for use that can facilitate some procedures or make projects more interesting, challenging and funnier for school children.

Nowadays digital technology can support and enhance those skills both in teaching and project management.

Digital skills for teachers

Digital skills for teachers are becoming increasingly important in today's classroom. With the rise of technology and the integration of digital tools into the curriculum, teachers need to be proficient in using a variety of software and hardware to effectively deliver instruction and engage students. This has proved to be critical during the Covid-19 epidemic period.

Some key digital skills for teachers include:

  • Familiarity with popular educational technology (edtech) tools such as learning management systems (LMS), interactive whiteboards, and educational apps.
  • Proficiency with common productivity software such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Apple iWork.
  • Understanding of basic coding and programming concepts, as well as experience with coding languages such as JavaScript and Python.
  • Knowledge of digital safety and security, including how to protect students' personal information and how to handle online harassment.
  • Familiarity with the use of multimedia in the classroom, such as video and audio recording and editing, graphic design, and animation.
  • Search the web in an efficient and effective manner

Even teachers that have great success teaching the old fashion way, why is crucial to acquire digital skills?

Digital skills for project managers

It is a matter of fact that school teachers and students spending together many hours at school every day, do not need to use digital tools for project management.

It is useful to know as a general information though, that digital skills are becoming increasingly important in project management as more and more companies are turning to digital tools and platforms to streamline their operations and improve collaboration among team members. These skills include proficiency in project management software, such as Asana, Trello, and Jira, as well as experience with tools for communication and file sharing, such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Drive.

Additionally, knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel and Tableau, can be valuable for monitoring project progress and identifying areas for improvement. Having a strong foundation in digital skills can help project managers more effectively lead and manage their teams, as well as make more informed decisions based on data.

What are the cons of digital project management, how should someone overcome them?
